President Nixon Discusses Homosexuals at Bohemian Grove

Nixon mentions witnessing homosexual activity while attending bohemian grove. "[San Fransisco] is the most faggy god damned thing you could imagine."

My point with this post was to portray how much/little has changed in this country. If a politician used the word "faggy" today, it would surly have different implications. With that in mind, I really question how much public opinion, on both political isles, has changed. It saddens me to see such disregard for our common man, and even more so for our common citizens. As we move toward the up coming 2008 elections, I find contemplating such issues to be very important when deciding who to endorse.

While I'm on the subject I just wanted to link you guys to a compilation I threw together for my favorite candidate, Mike Gravel. For those who do not know, he was key for bringing the Vietnam War to an end.

State of Texas sets class drop limit for higher education.

I'm currently enrolled in the College of Engineering at the University of Texas at El Paso. During the summer break I received an E-mail from my department stating that new legislation passed will limit the amount of drops student can make state wide. The E-mail read:
"Attention Students,

The 80th legislature just passed a 'maximum drop' bill for undergraduates. It limits drops to six. Any drops from transferring colleges are counted in the six as well those from UTEP. Exceptions include sickness, death of a relative, and deployment."

So I decided to look up 80(R) SB 1231 myself.

Section I.
(c) Prohibits an institution of higher education, except as provided under rules adopted under Subsection (d), from permitting a student to drop more than six courses, including a course a transfer student has dropped at another institution of higher education, under circumstances described by Subsection (b).

Strange stuff here. I find it difficult to say that this will affect me directly, but I have not graduated yet, not even close, so naturally I'm worried.
